# Terms of Service for Chosen Legacy Law Effective Date: June 12, 2026 Welcome to Chosen Legacy Law. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the legal services provided by Chosen Legacy Law (CLL). By engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. ## 1. Services Offered Chosen Legacy Law provides a range of legal services, including but not limited to estate planning, probate, and other matters. Specific services will be outlined in the engagement letter provided to you upon the commencement of an attorney-client relationship with CLL. ## 2. Attorney-Client Relationship - An attorney-client relationship is established only after CLL has confirmed its acceptance of your request for legal services and you have signed the engagement letter. - Communication does not create an attorney-client relationship until the formal agreement is executed. ## 3. Right to Decline Service - Chosen Legacy Law reserves the right to decline or terminate service to any person or entity at CLL's discretion, except as prohibited by state and/or federal law. - Reasons for declining service may include, but are not limited to, conflicts of interest, capacity issues, or any other reason deemed appropriate by the attorney. ## 4. Client Obligations - Clients must provide accurate and complete information relevant to the legal services requested. - Clients agree to respond promptly to requests for additional information or documentation. - Clients must keep their contact information current and notify CLL of any changes. ## 5. Fees and Payment - Our fees for services will be outlined in the engagement letter. Billing may be conducted on an hourly basis, a flat fee, or a contingency fee arrangement, as specified in the engagement letter. - Payment terms, including trust deposits, retainer requirements, and due dates, will also be specified in the engagement letter. ## 6. Confidentiality - All communications between you and Chosen Legacy Law are protected by attorney-client privilege, subject to applicable legal exceptions. Unilateral communication by you through the website's contact form IS NOT protected by the attorney-client privilege or any confidentiality laws/rules. - CLL will maintain the confidentiality of your information in accordance with the relevant state's rules of professional conduct and ethics. ## 7. Limitation of Liability - To the extent permitted by law, Chosen Legacy Law shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of our services, except as outlined in the formal agreement between CLL and you. ## 8. Governing Law - These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to them shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Disputes arising out of CLL's services shall be addressed in the state for which the services were intended. ## 9. Amendments - Chosen Legacy Law reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on CLL's website or notifying you directly. ## 10.
